Hacienda drawing up bail amount for Iñaki Urdangarín

Hacienda is reported to be evaluating the extent of the alleged misuse of money by the Iñaki Urdangarín firm, Nóos Institute, in order to put an amount on the bail costs to be faced by the Duke. The prosecutors’ office has asked for a report from the Agencia Tributaria ahead of possible precautionary measures. The anti-corruption prosecutor considers that on the Baleares alone 1.3 million € was diverted and thinks the total amount could be several million €. The report from the Hacienda inspectors which has been requested by the prosecutor, Pedro Horrach, will serve for the Anti-corruption prosecutor to, in the next few days, ask the judge in the Palma Arena case, José Castro, for the possible implementation of bail on Iñaki Urdangarín. Urdangarín and his ex partner, Diego Torres, are the main accused, along with the ex President of the Baleares, Jaume Matas, in the corruption scandal linked to public administration.
