It is approaching crunch time in the popular resort of Marbella. According to the municipality’s new savings plan needs 2.5 million Euros savings each year over the next four years.
Partido Popular, PP, has the majority in the municipality of Marbella since 2007, when some austerity plans was launched. And now it becomes necessary to have additional savings measures, and this is primarily for ongoing staff costs.
It’s about reducing the number of posts 24 to 18 which means a reduced cost of 411.890 Euros. Meanwhile, the number of temporary staff will be reduced.
The cuts will also lead to closures such as the tourist office at La Fontanilla. Popular Party is willing to close nine offices and municipal buildings.
