Region by region, the next most expensive property is a €11 million house in Portals Nous in Baleares. A front-line luxury villa, it has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a library, private cinema and billiards room. The dearest house currently for sale in the Madrid autonomous community costs €10.5 million and is located in exclusive La Moraleja on the outskirts of the capital. The Extremadura region comes next with a €8.5 million price tag for its most expensive property. Murcia took 12th place, with a €3.5 million Atamaria property built on a mountainside overlooking the sea. Navarra was bottom amongst Spain’s mainland regions, with the most expensive property priced at €1.5 million. The cheapest regional prices were found in Spain’s North African enclaves of Melilla and Ceuta, whose most expensive properties were offered at €900,000 and €700,000 respectively.
